Lately I've been thinking about, reflecting on, and dreaming about what the church is, what it should be, and what it can be. Liz and I have also asked lots of different people to share their perspective and answers to these questions. We've heard a wide range of answers and thoughts on it and all have been helpful.

ReplyDeleteas the church gathers, it engages in convenant renewal, provides space to nuture one's relationship with God in genuine ways, and provides a safe place for people to connect with each other, entrusting themselves to the care and grace of God expressed through others ...
The church is the body of believers, each on their own level, each with their differing perspectives and unique gifts and talents. Building up each other and then going out and engaging the world. Church is what happens when stories are told, lives are encountered, minds are changed and souls are reborn. Those are just some of my idea's :)
